And thank you for taking a stroll through our site. Our passion for wine starts with the vines and are perfected in the cellar. We can assure you that your journey is going to be worthwhile!

In January 2010, the cellars Rietrivier and Uitvlucht joined forces to form Montagu Wine and Spirits Company. And the result? Winning awards! Through a point scoring system for best wines in respect of several different cultivars, we snatched the crown for the champion producer cellar in the Klein Karoo for not only 2010, but 2011 as well! Quite an achievement!

Come and enjoy our famous Montagu muscadel, of which we were the first producer way back in the 1940’s, but also our delicate dry whites, full bodied barrel matured reds and sweet sparkling grape juice. Our tasting room is in the original cellar building just off Bath Street in Montagu on the renowned Route 62. Although we would love it, we also understand that you are not always able to visit us.
